The Basics
Commissioned pieces cost $20.00/hour of labor starting at a minimum of $200.00. For example, if a piece takes 14 hours to complete, the cost would be $280.00. On average, a standard watercolor painting (9.5” x 11”) takes about 16 - 20 hours. Clients are also responsible for shipping and material expenses.
price structure
Using agreed upon reference photo(s), I begin with several studies of the piece and its subjects. This ensures that I am familiar with the composition and details before I start the final, and guarantees quality in the execution of the piece. I am always happy to check in with clients as I work to ensure the piece is developing in line with their vision.
the process
All commissions are produced using high quality, professional-grade materials. Finalized pieces are packaged with water resistant packaging and rigid backing, and priority shipped to ensure safe keeping.
